First of all it is important to know that we could have launched Osiris FX as a fully onshore facility in London, had we so wished. The UK Financial Services Authority has been extremely helpful, as have similar organisations in Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, Malta and Cyprus, in determining what constitutes a Regulated Activity, and perhaps more importantly, what does not.

The provision of tools so that clients may gain direct access to the Forex market, on a genuine straight-through-processing basis, is an activity which is not currently regulated, and on that basis there is no real niche into which our business model fits, as we are simply opening a window enabling our clients to trade directly with the bids and offers placed by the banks contributing to the price feed. You trade direct, you do not trade with Osiris FX Ltd as we have no dealing desk as such.

Our plans do include the establishment of a European Union onshore base during 2010, as we work towards compliance with the MiFID Directives, but we are operating offshore because many of our clients prefer to deal with non-US or non-UK providers.

In closing therefore, Osiris FX Ltd operates to the highest standards as laid down by the world’s largest regulatory bodies. We do not hold or retain client funds, and we connect to our liquidity providers through a fully FSA-Licensed and Regulated UK Clearing House. In short, Osiris FX Ltd represents a solution to accessing the FX markets which is at least as secure as any other, and in fact as we carry no debt, and we do not hold client funds, we are probably one of the safest ways to trade Forex that could possibly exist.
